The Dean of Students office has secured a sponsor for needy students in First Years! (2020)

 
Here is our criteria for the selection of the new students at the University of Nairobi. 
The South Face Scholarships criteria are:
 
– Students from engineering and science courses.
 
————> Civil Engineering, Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, Medicine and Surgery, Medical Laboratory Science and Technology,
Environmental and Biosystem Engineering, Environmental Conservation & Natural Resources Management, Nursing, Education (ICT) , Education (Science).
 
– Students with low resources coming from disadvantaged families. 
 
– Students with good grades at secondary school KCSE.
 
– Students coming from: Turkana, Kakuma, Marsabit, Mandera, Wajir, Migori, Narok, Kajiado, Garissa, Dadaab, 
 
The Scholarship will pay university tuition fees and accommodation (we’ll try to have all the sponsored students stay at the University of Nairobi halls of residences). 
Please apply attaching the following key documents:
 
1). Letter of application detailing why you need to be supported.
2). Your 2019 KCSE result slip/certificate
3). Copy of ID showing you come from any of the above listed counties/districts
4). Letter of admission to the University of Nairobi  (2020) to any of the above listed courses
5). Letter from your local chief and pastor/sheikh or other religious leader or High School Head indicating you are needy
 
Send the applications to email:  <financial-aid@uonbi.ac.ke> by attaching the above five/six documents on or before Friday, 8th January 2021.  The sponsors and the Financial Aid Office team under the Dean of Students office will interview the shortlisted candidates between the 8th and 18th of January 2021.
